Description
With targets and objectives established by senior leadership, the Director of Technology and Development will be responsible for the effective operations of company information technology, web development, information systems and IT infrastructure development. This position will participate in strategic planning and direction of processes and solutions.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
Establish programming standards and methods of evaluating economies of data processing applications and infrastructure for the company’s web development team and the Evolution MS entities of Entech and Premier Computing.
Provide input to the strategic direction of IT, directly influencing the business direction in new and existing products and systems as well as any potential integration expansion efforts.
Develop Objectives and Key Results that support the company’s strategic short- and long-term goals.
Manage and report on the financial status of IT initiatives, performance against planned objectives and future strategic directions and associated effect on expenses.
Coordinate and drive the business relationship with key internal partners and significant external partners.
Maintain project controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules and budgets, and ensure user/management involvement at appropriate milestones.
Direct the development and implementation of policies, regulations and programs that support the growth of efficient information and web development services.
Direct the development and reporting of performance metrics and activities for continuous improvement of IT management.
Prepare and review budgets for business plans that ensure maximum value to the company and operate areas of responsibility within approved staffing and financial parameters.
Develop a strong working knowledge of IT requirements for users and customers and ensure that projects meet business needs and expectations of quality.
Maintain current knowledge of the IT industry to improve user and customer satisfaction, reduce operating expenses, support infrastructure and maximize revenue.
Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing and disaster recovery.
Direct and manage the development of plans for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, configuration and integrity of IT systems hardware and software.
Direct and coordinate consultations with users, management, vendors and technicians to assess computing needs and systems requirements.
Maintain level of technical proficiency and currency with new and developing technologies in the information systems field by participating with and maintaining memberships with professional work groups, attending technical-related conferences or training; interfacing with peers, or reviewing IT periodicals.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science required; Master’s Degree preferred.
Advanced knowledge of information technology systems and applications.
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience with computer systems, web development and support functions.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience that includes the direction and management of others in a computer systems and management information systems environment.
High-level analytical, planning and organizational ability.
Excellent leadership, decision-making and communication skills.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A thorough awareness of the information systems support process and procedures and its relationship to the business are critical. This includes but is not limited to:
Software, hardware, LAN and WAN network design and analysis
Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Database Relationships
CRUD statements and Stored Procedures
Report-building tools (Microsoft SSRS, Tableau)
.NET development (C#, WCF, Web Services, ADP,NET)
NET MVC based web development
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, XML
